Jim Marrs earned a BA degree in journalism from the University of North Texas, and attended Graduate School at Texas Tech. He worked for several Texas newspapers from 1968 to 1980, with a brief leave of absence to serve in the Fourth Army intelligence unit during the Viet Nam War. He has taught a course on the assassination of John F. Kennedy at the University of Texas since 1976. In 1989, his book "Crossfire: The Plot That Killed Kennedy" was published and was on the New York Times Best Seller list for 6 weeks. It became the basis for the Oliver Stone film "JFK". In 1992, Jim began 3 years' researching and completing a non-fiction book on remote viewing, only to have it mysteriously canceled as it was going to press. "Psi Spies" was finally published early this year. In 1997, Marrs' in-depth investigation of UFOs, "Alien Agenda" was published, and in less than two months garnered many positive reviews and was into its eighth printing.
