Budd Hopkins Presents A Retrospective View of the Abduction Phenomena

Budd Hopkins Presents A Retrospective View of the Abduction Phenomena

Budd Hopkins feels it's time to risk controversy by taking a wider view of UFO research in general and the abduction phenomenon in particular. He will talk about his experiences with the inflexible ideologues - the Debunkers - and describe the tactics he has used successfully to deal with them. He will attempt an important taxonomy of attitudes to UFO reports among what Budd has isolated as four basic groups: Skeptics, True Believers, Enthusiasts and the Incurious. Budd will discuss the most important public event in our field in decades: the November 2007, international press conference in Washington, D.C., organized by filmmaker James Fox and journalist Leslie Kean. Budd will discuss it as an ideal model for the way we should make the case for UFO reality to the scientific community, the government and the media. Finally, he will describe some recent abduction cases and then take questions from the audience.

Budd Hopkins has spent 32 years investigating UFO abductions and scrutinizing many hundreds of individual accounts. His work includes radio and TV appearances, the successful recruitment of major abduction researchers such as David Jacobs and John Mack, and publication of four influential books on the subject of UFOs and the alien abduction phenomenon.
