George Filer holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University, a Bachelors of Science Degree from Bradley University, and attended the Columbia School of Broadcasting. He is a retired U.S. Air Force Major. During his military career, he attended Squadron Officers School, and the Industrial College of the Armed Forces. He was an Intelligence Analyst and briefing officer for 16 years. He was a Master Navigator, with almost 5,000 hours of flight time. While flying for the Air Force in England in 1962, London Control asked them to investigate a UFO. They dove on the object hovering over Stonhenge. At 20 miles out, they got a large return on the airborne radar, diving on the target we closed to a mile away from the craft. It launched towards space at ten times their speed. He has been chasing UFOs ever since.

George is currently the Eastern Regional Director of MUFON, and is in charge of UFO and disc research for the Air Victory Museum. He hosted a TV program called Investigations UFO during 1995-96 in Atlantic City. He has appeared on a number of television specials and radio programs, and has spoken at many events throughout the world.
