A.J. Gevaerd is the editor of the Brazilian UFO Magazine, the only one existing in the country for 13 years. A.J. is the director of the Brazilian Center for Flying Saucer Research, the largest organization in Brazil, with over 2,000 members. He has been engaged in UFO research for 26 years, and for the past 11 years he has been the only UFO researcher in Brazil exclusively devoting his time to the field. As a national and international lecturer, A.J. has spoken in dozens of cities in his own country as well as 24 other countries around the world. He is one of the International Directors for the International UFO Congress and the Brazilian Director for MUFON.

In 1999, Brazil registered a series of new contacts and abduction cases that surprised even the most experienced researchers. Now, the picture about UFOs in all of South America is clearer, due to some recent agreements between investigators from several countries. Not only Brazil, but also Argentina, Paraquay, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, etc., currently have strong and solid extraterrestrial activity.

New UFO photographs and film footage, taken by people in locations spread over the vast territory of South America, show a considerable increase in the sightings. Landings and mass observations of UFOs, some in the middle of large cities and in broad daylight, are also notorious. Researchers have also found connections between cases which happened in small villages and cities thousands of miles apart.
