Haktan Akdogan, pioneering Turkish UFO researcher, was born in Izmir, Turkey on October 12, 1965. He is fluent in English, French and Turkish. Akdogan’s curiosity about the mystery of Space drew his interest to this field since his childhood and became a part of his daily life. His interest in science fiction books and movies laid the grounds for his research In these fields. Akdogan went to New York, in 1985 and studied in the field of arts at “Art Students League of New York.” There, his interest in space and extraterrestrial life made him focus on studies conducted on this subject. It has been now 17 years that he has been continuing his scientific research on the subject and participating in worldwide UFO Symposiums.

On his return to Turkey in 1996, he prepared a weekly documentary on UFOs named “UFO Reality”, and also hosted a weekly Radio program about UFOs for a year. In 1998, he founded “Sirius UFO Space Sciences Research Centre” . For about 3 years, the Centre has been involved in intensive studies on the subject and initiated many International Events. Akdogan is also the founder of the world’s fourth International UFO Museum opened in Istanbul, Turkey in 2002, where a wide-range of documented information on the subject is exhibited. The project is also supported by the data and archives of many worldwide UFO centres, foundations, and institutions. He is the co-founder of “ SIRIUS Publishing House” whose primary goal is to publish important UFO & New Age related books by scientists, researchers, abductees and contactees in Turkish.

Haktan's presentation covers all aspects of the UFO phenomenon in Turkey, including the best documented UFO sightings ( some by military and civilian pilots and officials, including UFO footages before and after the Earthquake), close encounters, some important abduction cases and the policy of the Turkish officials....
