| A.J. Gevaerd, 42, studied Chemistry in several universities in Brazil. In 1986, he decided to quit his carreer as a Chemistry teacher to devote his time to the research of UFOs. Gevaerd is the founder and editor of the Brazilian UFO Magazine, the only one existing in his country. He is also the founder and director of the Brazilian Center for Flying Saucer Research (CBPDV), the largest organization in South America. He started his activities as a field investigator and has been engaged in Ufology for 31 years. As an international lecturer, A. J. has spoken in dozens of cities in his country and conducted investigations and lectures in 39 other countries. In 1983, he was appointed by Dr. J. Allen Hynek himself to be the representative of the Center for UFO Studies (CUFOS) in Brazil. He is one of the international directors of the International UFO Congress, and The Brazilian Director for both MUFON and Skywatch International.
